Observation notes: Observed 3 caterpillars on the same butterfly weed, backyard garden by pond. The butterfly weed is an established plant with monarchs every year but this is the first time I have seen this moth. Interplanted with native purple coneflowers and ironweed. Cool temp 72, overcast. Caterpillars are feeding on leaves.
