Observation notes: Second sighting this week of this magnificent butterfly, never seen before in Long Island NY. Possibly a male? Fed on mostly Mexican Sunflower for approx 30 min. Sunny & clear high 70's? I have approx. 10 Rue plants as host plants for Black Swallowtails, no other host plants for GSTs but Rue are not planted in front yard where GST was seen. Was he out of his range?
