Observation notes: Overcast, foggy and cool. Was surprised and confused to find unexpected butterflies flying in these conditions. This West Coast Lady was flying in the same area as a Painted Lady far out on the beach. Both were very active. West Coast Ladies seem to be the rarer of the ladies in Mendocino County.
