Observation notes: My lawn was mowed late (2 weeks instead of weekly) just two days ago due to lots of rain. We've had 90+F heat with high humidity. I found a dozen or so under the screen door as I opened it yesterday. I thought it a fluke - swept them out toward the lawn. I keep seeing them under the screen door as it was opened yesterday and a few on the back cement stoop. Today - there were maybe two dozen under the door!! I swept them out to yard then I noticed it. There are dozens and dozens IN the yard!! The yard is mostly Bermuda grass. It was lush and green until the mow - now it looks it was cut a bit too short. There is lots of dead grasses in the yard now. I walked by the CHAV where there is a lot of clover as ground cover. From the back door to the CHAV to the house just west of the unit - the yard is COVERED in these guys!!! I've not ever seen them before. What is up??? You'd think the birds would be having a hi-ho time picking them off - they aren't though. Here are sample pics of the little guys - top and belly, he likes to roll over. Thank you for helping me figure this out!
