Unicorn Caterpillar Moth
Coelodasys unicornis

Observation date: August 17, 2017
Submitted by: Kissybears
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I found this guy eating the leaves of my (dwarf) golden delicious apple tree. I have tried to identify him on Google, but all the ones mentioned for eating apple trees have been worms and look very different than the one I found which appears to be more of a caterpillar than a worm. After looking at the other submissions on this site, it looks like it may be a unicorn caterpillar moth, but I'm not for sure.
