Observation notes: I found these caterpillars on several apple trees (Honeycrisp, William's Pride ) in my orchard. Temperature is 55F, and has been rainy for the past few days. Interestingly the nearby sweet cherry trees have not been affected. The apple trees seem to be preferred.
