Observation notes: We have observed this butterfly for several days around mile post 274 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Able to photograph today - somewhat more tattered than prior observations. Temperature 72 degrees on a partly sunny day. Nectaring on a very busy common milkweed as he had to nectar with 2 great Spangled Fritillaries and a Monarch. He flew off several times chased by them but always returned to Milkweed.
