Observation notes: Butterfly was feeding on Honeyvine Milkweed. Possible courting behavior observed with smaller golden-brown colored skippers. Sunny day.

Coordinator notes: This is a male and female of a sexually dimorphic skipper species. The Ottoe skipper is similar, but flies in midsummer. The Zabulon skipper is also prevalent at this time of year but the lower hind wing is patterned and there should be white on the upper border of the hind wing.
