Observation notes: Located on the top of a common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) leaf (lowest leaf on plant). Milkweed plant was older, partially senesced, in pod. Early instar monarch (Danaus plexippus) larva found on apical meristem of same plant. Warm day, 77 F, sunny, slight breeze.
