Submitted by: BioSquint
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Found inside of K building, Pima Community College West Campus (see address below), released outside after taking its picture. Have since seen at least 12 more around campus. Body size is roughly 1.5cm long; base of wing width is about the same. When its wings are open , hind wings flash rust orange color. Weather was partly cloudy, humidity 22% at 9 am inside room temperature about 70 F. It just sat quietly on the floor and raided its forewings but did not try to fly away when I got it onto a piece of paper. When I put it onto a tree trunk, it walked about 5 cm up the tree and settled down.
