Observation notes: The next day after the photo it was lying on the porch floor flopping around. An exterminator had been to the house the previous week which makes me think it may have come in contact with insecticide sprayed on the house exterior : ( The next day is was merely quivering a bit. Weather had been in 80-90 range with some rain. We have never seen an Imperial Moth around here. We have a couple mature white pines on our property.
