Observation notes: Observed this butterfly on the ground, in the dew-covered grass, this morning. First approach, it flew about 7' away. Second approach, it flew about 3' away. Finally, it landed and stayed and let me get very close to it. It stayed in the same position while I got about 7 shots of it. Weather: Approx. 75 degrees, 50% humidity, light breezes, sunny. Size: Approx. 1" (from middle of its belly to top of wingtip)
