Observation notes: There were some buffalobur weeds and other weeds nearby. We found it, and several others just like it, in the sandy area of the playground in the backyard. They ranged in sizes but the one in the photo was the biggest. It was about an inch long, more or less. It curled in on itself several times, and would crawl away quickly when softy poked.
