Observation notes: In Oregon City, Oregon - Clackamas county -This Caterpillar was sighted on our deck rail. I have seen a moth/butterfly fly out of the hanging pot with petunias in it. Could not describe the moth but I did see that it was brown. The pot is just above where the caterpillar was. Do we need to report this sighting to our county extension agent?
