Coordinator notes: This is the Aphrodite Fritillary (subspecies ethne) which is common in the lower foothills of northern Colorado. You can commonly find the Zerene Fritillary in western Colorado where there is aspen forest mixes with pine forest and there is some sagebrush in the forest openings.
