Observation notes: It was fluttering in the trail thru the forest next to the Bede Falls in Sandwich NH. and then going back and forth between the path and the short shrubs next to the path resting briefly in the trail with wings open before going back to the shrubs. The paths were mostly gritty and moist with hemlock needles. Next to the trail it is very mossy and has a profusion of blueberries, bunch berries, and partridgeberry growing.
