Observation notes: Photo taken of Hummingbird Clearwing Moth in open field in Lawrence, Kansas, hovering by and feeding on a Purple Milkweed plant. Would hover, then move in to feed on nectar, and repeat. Weather: Approx. 86 degrees, 55% humidity, warm sunny day. Size: Approx. 1.5" long
