Observation notes: Butterfly was feeding at star thistles next to road in dry canyon of Los Padres National Forest. Large area of California Buckwheat on hillside uphill from thistles. Only one individual seen. It had some interaction with what were probably Acmon Blues that were abundant in the area. Sunny day in the 90's F.
