Observation notes: Taken at an off-the-leash dog park in Lawrence, Kansas, in an open wooded area of it. Lovely and sunny spring day. Weather: Approx. 65 degrees, 50% humidity, comfortable. Photo of amazing underwing detail of Red Admiral while it rested on the trunk of a tree. (Looked like a lioness' "face" in the wing.) There were a few others of its kind flying around in the area. Size: Approx. 1.25"
