Acmon Blue
Plebejus acmon

Observation date: June 19, 2017
Submitted by: Breck Breckenridge
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Warm, sunny, little wind. Perfect weather for butterfly field work! Here at a new location for the date (see previous entries for first site - Panther Creek Rd.), this Blue was on a profusely flowering, low-growing shrub which appears to be a type of shrubby cherry, e.g. Prunus emarginata. This sighting and the resulting photos was once again a case of "wait-and-see" on sexing with upper wing coloration. This one almost got away from me when it flew!
Status: Resident
