Observation notes: In this photo, it has landed on our hedge; just prior to this, it was "drinking" from an orange I had set out at a feeder, for Orioles. I have a photo of it there, also, but its wings are closed. It is not a butterfly I was familiar with, so I was happy to get its picture and identify it (at least tentatively).
