Observation notes: Lots of T. Cyprus lots of nectar Mostly Cloudy time of photo mid 60's time of photo, Warming to mid 70's dry sky clearing and then returning to marine layer, 10+ of these Area Burned Few years back but Chaparral is getting thick and hard to penetrate in areas, Chamise, Cyprus, Ceanothus, Spiny Redberry, Yarrow white and Golden, Sugar Bush ready to bloom, Toyon blooming, Cyprus has lots of cones on it. fire on base of mountain got put out quick in spring. Whole area burned ten or more years back? very thick now! Cyprus quite tall now most butterflies stay up high un reachable this butterfly is either listed as threatened or endangered?
