Observation notes: As you can see in the picture, it is clumped up with a cluster of Western Tent Caterpillars on my tree. Was still sitting in the same spot 4 hours later. My guess is it was staying with the cluster for warmth although it was a fairly warm day today (25° C +). Type of tree is unknown, heard it called a bird berry tree.
