Observation notes: in full sun, Two of these very large (female index finger sized) caterpillars resting and eating Gaura perennial flowering plant- non reactive to gentle touch. Many other flowering plants nearby, such as hibiscus, butterfly bush, cone flower, potato bush, potato vine, Blue Marguerite. Many different moths and butterflies frequent this spot.
