Observation notes: A warm spring day in the bottomland of a small creek. Abundant wildflowers and earily-spring Leps. This White was nectaring on Spring Beauty, Claytonia virginica. I have not observed this species on the hillsides, though they, too, are covered with Spring Beauty at this time of year.
