Observation notes: Two males would fight mid-air, flying tight, fast circles together and then this individual would perch on a branch or rock in the same area. This is a deep, rocky canyon near a fast flowing creek. Weather was sunny with a temperature around 68 degrees.

Coordinator notes: Yes Julie, I think this Tailed-Copper is a new record for Routt County. I will check further to see. I will also submit the record for inclusion in the Lepidopterists' NEWS Season Summary (to be published around May next year). Mike
