Observation notes: This Tiger Moth was a big one compared to the others I've seen. It was between 1-1.5 inches long from tip to rear. More wing lines than the others too. I have ruled out the other Tiger except for Virgin and Parthenice Tigers. The number of spots that cover the underwings is greater than the Parthenice, Which rules the Parthenice out. Could this be a Virgin Tiger Moth? If so, It may be the first record for B.A.M.O.N.A and the Maryland Biodiversity Project. Neighborhood entrance sign on Meadowbrook ln. Possible Howard County record with the Maryland Biodiversity Project?
