Observation notes: I was surveying fauna in this area and found a few of these butterflies scouting north-facing gradients. I thought they only occurred further west, but the host Eriogonum is locally abundant here. I also saw a single specimen of another Plebejus here which I did not recognize (acmon/lupine type).
