Observation notes: was a treat we were not expecting in this area about 5,000 Laguna Mountains. just above Anza Borrego Desert. we have found these before in the Desert, not this far west in pine and chaparral wood land with grassy meadows.

Coordinator notes: This hairstreak strays up into the mountains regularly in much of Arizona. ID is based on lack of records for other lookalike species in California. Yours does look different.-Ken Davenport
