Observation notes: On summit of Cerro Alto with chaparral habitat on the mountain. Elevation 2,624. Butterfly was feeding and chasing other butterflies in the area.

Coordinator notes: Josiah Gilbert has sampled specimens of the fritillary there and based on your photograph, they are all callippe, subspecies comstocki. I discovered Large Veined Whites there as early as January and occasionally still go there myself as Moss Elfins occur there and at Devil's Gap-Ken Davenport
