Observation notes: I found this bright orange caterpillar at school last year when some lil brats were trying to kill it. I took it home and made an account on here (that for some reason I can't get into) to enter in the sighting and identify it. Someone emailed me and identified it and when I did some research I found it was ready to burrow so I put some dirt into the monarch butterfly raising kit that you order online and it immediately went underground. The website said it'd be in there for like 2 weeks but that sometimes if the weather is weird they stay down longer and I was like "K". It was summer so I assumed it wouldn't be long. Well two months later nothing has happened so I assumed the lil guy died and put the mesh cylinder thing under my desk with the assumption that i'd just clean it out next time I needed it because i'm lazy. Well it's like 1 in the morning last night and i'm reading gay fanfiction and i hear scuttling/gnawing noises in the corner of my room, and my parrot's cage is in the other corner of the room so I thought there was a mouse in my room trying to eat my expensive ass bird food and I was like "heck no that shits expensive" and shined my phone flashlight over by my desk and what do I see but a huge moth flappin its big ass wings around the mesh cylinder of shame. Because I can't access my old account I can't remember what kind of moth this guy is so I don't know what to feed it for the few days I plan on keeping it around. It's been raining all week but on Monday it's supposed to be warmer so I'll release it when it's decent weather outside. it's currently 10:20am and the moth isn't doing much but i'm assuming that's because it's daytime and It's probably really hungry. Once I find out exactly what it is i'll give it something that can sustain it until its warm outside. Included is a photo of the caterpillar the day I found it.
