Coordinator notes: I think this is probably Melanolophia signataria, but it could be Melanolophia canadaria.
I agree in leaning toward signataria, and ID it as such, but with the caveat that as we see more and more DNA identified specimens, it is looking less likely that many specimens of Melanolophia can be reliably identified to species without dissection. -JDR
