Our summer fundraiser has arrived, and we need your help!
We depend on donations to keep Butterflies and Moths of North America online and free. If everyone who uses this resource makes a donation, we could cover our ongoing costs, develop new features, upgrade the system, and maybe even remove those pesky ads. Please make a one-time or recurring donation to show your support for this valuable source of information. Thank you!
Date notes: yes, Jan. 20. - this moth was IN the building
Submitted by: Todd Stefanic
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: have had a few of these moths flying around in the building this winter. finally decided to see what they are and low and behold they are a new species (if I'm right - got help from Bugguide.net)for Craters of the Moon, nor do I see them in BMNA or PNW Moths for Butte County, Idaho

Coordinator notes: In general, moths are poorly documented in Idaho. The "Lepidopterists' Society" is the official recordkeeper for moths and butterflies. Their database is easily accessed, and shows no official documentations for the genus Ufeus in any Idaho County.
