Observation notes: Habitat: flower patch on open roadside beside ditch between Cowpen Bayou and Duck Lake, adjacent to bottomland hardwood forest. Catahoula NWR HQ Unit. Approx time: early afternoon. Several butterfly species at this patch of aster. Multiple individuals of this species seen during the outing on various parts of the HQ unit.
