Observation notes: My 5 year old daughter ran into our room screaming there's something red in there. When I went to the living room it was at the bottom of the window motionless. At first I thought it was dead. I got a glass just in case it was still alive so I wouldn't knock off it's special dust so it could still fly. After taking pictures and observing it for a few minutes it finally started moving around and then started flying around in the glass. I then took it and released it outside. This is the first time we've seen this kind of moth and never knew it even existed. It is a very pretty species. The temperature tonight is in the low 60's with a cool northerly 5-10mph wind.We live in Jemison,Alabama.
