Observation date: July 13, 2015
Submitted by: Anna_holmes
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: The first image displayed here was taken with a flash. The second image was taken without flash and is therefore less sharp. I have submitted both because the moth appears to have red eyes in both images. I had not seen this before. Is this a mutation or is this common?
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: Note to submitter--The reddish in the eyes may be an artifact of the lighting and/or camera. Additionally, this looks to be a very fresh specimen, so being newly emerged may play a part as well. SAT
