Observation notes: At the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station. Quite a few of these have been flying during the day lately. This one was in a disturbed area with some recovering sage scrub. The moth is on Red Brome (Bromus madritensis ssp. rubens), which was mixed with Yerba Santa (Eriodictyon trichocalyx var. trichocalyx).
