Coordinator notes: The hindwing spotting is different for the suggested id, Virgo Tiger Moth, Grammia virgo. Here is a link to some information on Grammia phyllira which will help distinguish it from the very similar G. parthenice. All of these could be found in the area of the sighting. SAT
