Observation notes: Caterpillars have been seen crossing our gravel roads. Some are very little/ early stages and some are large, like the one in the picture. I have not seen them on any plants, just crossing the roads. There are wild sunflowers in the ditch on both sides of the road and the fields have corn in or hay.
