Observation notes: There was a "field" of these, newly hatched perhaps, on a plot of mint family plants. I think these are different from gnophaela vermiculata and gnophaela previously submitted because of the orange on their heads and the number of spots.

Coordinator notes: I received a comment concerning the location of this sighting (NE California) being outside the range of Gnophaela discreta (SE Arizona). I agree with the comment and have edited this submittal to G. latipennis.
