Observation notes: Oregon, Benton County, Marys Peak at a Conner's Camp Trailhead parking lot. Dry meadow surrounded by conifer forest with understory of native plants. I counted four Tortoiseshells flitting about, chasing and nectaring on a flowering Mountain Balm (Ceanothus velutinus) bush. One other butterfly present, a worn green hairstreak.
