Coordinator notes: Obviously a moth (can't believe you thought it was actually a hairstreak!...looks closer to a Miller Moth than that!)...does not seem to be a common name for it...the host is Oak and there are three spots on each hindwing so the Six-spotted Oak Moth is probably as good as any. Flies in early spring and is often found at damp soil...this one is probably a male. I identify moths if I know what they are...if I change the organism type to moth, the sighting will be reassigned to someone else. Maybe when saved it get into the correct category? Mike
