Coordinator notes: No way to really tell without checking genitalia of males or doing DNA/genomics. To my knowledge, such work has not been done on the island population. I do know real Checkered Skippers (Burnsius communis) occur with White Checkered Skippers in the Cuyama Valley and I had Paul Opler identify those-Ken Davenport
