Observation notes: Amber-colored eyes. Caterpillar was crawling around the top of a rubber bin outside for a minimum of 3 hours, as if searching for a place to pupate. No typical host plant nearby, but two American sweetgum trees, two azaleas and several tea olives were within 8 feet. Cloudy; 78 degrees.
