Observation notes: These butterflies were very abundant in the Klamath Outdoor Science School area, flying freely in the open woodlands where Ceanothus bushes were in peak bloom. Many of the butterflies had landed on the outside of buildings, where they were observed with their proboscis extended, probing the walls. Weather was warm & sunny.
