Bernardino Dotted-Blue
Euphilotes bernardino

Observation date: May 27, 2025
Submitted by: Zencoyote
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Multiple individuals seen in and around newly blossoming Buckwheat lining the trails over a 1km stretch in chaparral. Some interaction between individuals. Both male and female. Weather, mostly cloudy with prolonged patches of sun, breezy, with temps in the high 60s. Other species seen in low numbers, including Mourning Cloak, Behr’s Metalmark, and Marine Blue. I notice the orange on the ventral hindwing is continuous in some individuals and not in others.
