Green Comma
Polygonia faunus

Observation date: May 24, 2025
Submitted by: Cascade Colors
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I believe, based on continuous dark border and strong orange color
Status: Resident
Verified by: mikefisher
Verified date: May 25, 2025
Coordinator notes: Certainly the Green Comma (subspecies hylas...aka Colorado Anglewing or Comma)...and the only comma species with a wide dark margin on the hindwings with the spots...small in size...that are confined entirely within that dark border. This is always unmistakable. Mike
