Observation notes: These two butterflies, female above and male below, were one of many skipper butterflies flying around Milkweed Vines, sprawling on top of a large patch of Rough Goldenrod 'Fireworks' plants. The butterflies are attracted to the many vanilla scented flowers on the vines. They flit about between the vine blossoms and the goldenrod stems. These Goldenrods will begin to bloom in about another week.
