Coordinator notes: Unfortunately without a relative size comparison and underwing views, it is nearly impossible to differentiate Erynnis species, especially this time of year when there are multiple flights occurring. I'm making the ID determination based solely on general characteristics...this being the discal cell spot. Definitely not specific to E. juvenalis, however most individuals should have this spot present. E. horatius also commonly has this spot present and is in flight, but very uncommon this time of year, seen more mid to late summer. E. baptisiae can have this spot, but is usually lacking in most individuals and if present, is very small and inconspicuous. Therefor playing the odds...E. juvenalis. -jmgesell
