Observation notes: Individuals were detected along the main trail up Cookes Peak from the bottom of the canyon at 6300 feet to near the saddle at 7500 feet elevation. They were the only butterfly species flying on the extremely windy day of our trip. There were no nectar sources and no water where they were encountered.
